Electric Shower

How they work

Electric showers only require a cold water feed as the water is heated by the element within the shower unit. These units are suitable for high and low pressure systems. The power of flow from electric units is only as powerful as the wattage. Please Note: We recommend that a 'Part P' qualified electrician fits electric units.

How they're made

Electric showers are made with elements that work in the same way as a kettle. They heat the water as it comes in to the unit; too much water would result in the water not being heated in time.

How to look after them

Many household cleaners contain abrasives and chemical substances, and should not be used for cleaning plated or plastic fittings. These finishes should be cleaned with a mild washing up detergent or soap solution, and then wiped dry using a soft cloth.

Showering Panels

How they work

The shower panel requires both hot & cold water feeds with a minimum 2 bar pressure. This is suitable for fully modulating combi boilers & high pressure unvented systems. Please Note: If a customer has low pressure we recommend the 2.25 bar pump be fitted.

How they're made

The shower panel contains a thermostat to regulate the temperature to prevent extreme heats, it also has a diverter to divert between the overhead showerhead, the handheld head, and the body jets or rain bars. Please Note: None of the three settings can be used simultaneously.

Mixer Valves

How they work

The mixer shower requires both hot & cold water feeds with a minimum of 0.1 bar pressure. Suitable for fully modulating combi boilers & high pressure unvented systems. To increase water flow a 1.3 bar pump could be utilised. Please Note: The shower pump is NOT suitable for combination boilers.

How they're made

The mixer showers work using a large ceramic disc that opens to allow the water through the shower valve. It is also fitted with a thermostat to regulate the temperature to prevent extreme heats.

Thermostatic Pumped

How they work

The thermostatic pumped shower requires both hot & cold water feeds and an electrical supply. This shower must be gravity fed with equal pressure.
Please Note: Under no circumstances must the thermostatic pumped shower be connected to the mains cold water supply.

This is the most popular type of shower unit. The electric shower is wall mounted and comes complete in one package.


Recommended requirements: Electric shower.


Why choose this shower: Easy to install. Comes in a variety of ranges to suit most bathrooms.


Handy hints: Beneficial when the customers house has low water pressure, works off cold water mains pressure.


Thermostatic Pumped Shower
Thermostatic Pumped Shower

The thermostatic pumped shower is wall mounted and when fitted, the entire shower is exposed. It uses a thermostatic valve to maintain a constant shower temperature.


Recommended requirements: Thermostatic pump shower.


Why choose this shower: The unit is fitted with an integral pump that creates high pressure resulting in a powerful water flow.


Handy hints: This shower requires both hot & cold water feed and an electrical supply. It must be gravity fed with equal pressure.


Panel Showers
Showering Panels

The showering panel is wall mounted and requires a hot and cold feed. It has a 3-function diverter to select between fixed head, hand spray and rain bars (located in the actual panel). It has a multi-function fixed head and hand spray for different spray patterns with adjustable rain bars to direct water either inwards or outwards. Suitable to use with pumped, fully modulated combination boilers and high pressure unvented systems (minimum operating pressure 2 bar, maximum 5 bar).


Recommended requirements: Panel shower.


Why choose this shower: This is the ultimate luxury in showering.


Handy hints: If a combination boiler is in use, the pressure must be higher than 2 bar. The fitter can adjust this if required at the point of fit. If a pump is required it cannot be fitted on a combination boiler.


Mixer Showers
Mixer Showers

This is a wall-mounted shower and comes packaged in two parts. When fitted, the entire shower is exposed. It is thermostatically controlled for comfort and safety. This means the temperature is regulated by the shower’s thermostat to prevent the temperature becoming too hot should, for instance, someone else in the household turn on the cold water.


Recommended requirements: Mixer shower.


Why choose this shower: This shower does not need an electrical supply as power is supplied by water pressure. Creates a minimalist, modern looking shower.


Handy hints: If customers house has low water pressure, it may be beneficial to offer an electric shower or include a 1.3 bar shower pump. If a pump is required it cannot be fitted on a combination boiler.
